Profile

Mazar

A pure Afghan indica from the Mazar-i-Sharif region in northern Afghanistan — hash country. Dense, resinous, deeply physical. One of the oldest continuously cultivated cannabis varieties on earth, grown for centuries along the Hindu Kush and Amu Darya river valleys.

Mazar-i-Sharif is an ancient trading city in northern Afghanistan, situated near the Amu Darya river at the gateway to Central Asia. The cannabis grown in this region has been cultivated for centuries — primarily for charas and hashish production. The genetic material was collected and stabilized by Dutch Passion in the 1990s, making authentic Mazar one of the most genetically intact Hindu Kush landraces available in seed form. Its heavy resin and low-maintenance grow profile made it foundational to countless modern indica hybrids.
