The Garden Circle

A small group of people sharing in a private garden at 1,170 feet in the Santa Monica Mountains.

What This Is

This is not a farm stand. It is not a subscription box. It is a personal garden — one person, one hillside, one season — and a small group of people invited to share in what it produces.

The 2026 garden is built around 13 heirloom tomato varieties, 6 chile varieties, herbs, fruiting crops, melons, and a designed insectary system at 1,170 feet above Beverly Hills. Everything documented, everything grown with intention, everything real.

A container garden in a California summer runs on water. LA water is not cheap. The Garden Circle exists because growing this much, this carefully, at this scale has real ongoing costs — and because the harvest is worth sharing with people who appreciate what they are receiving.
What Members Receive

Over a 10-week harvest window — roughly July through September — each member receives a weekly share. A typical week:

Heirloom Tomatoes

1.5–2.5 lbs. Brandywine, Mortgage Lifter, Giant Belgium, Hillbilly Bicolor, and others. Varieties most people have never tasted fresh off the vine.

Chiles & Peppers

A selection from six varieties: Shishito, Jimmy Nardello, Ajvarski, Biquinho. Mild to bold depending on what the week is giving.

Herbs

Genovese basil, Slo-Bolt cilantro, Cuban oregano, dill — fresh, fragrant, grown in the same living soil as everything else.

Seasonal Extras

Ground cherries, cucamelons, tomatillos, eggplant, summer squash, edible flowers — whatever the season is giving that week.

Garden Gift

Every member receives one Orange Hat tomato plant at season start — a complete miniature garden that fits on any sunny windowsill. No garden required.

The Archive

Access to the garden documentation as it builds — every variety profiled, every decision recorded, the full story of the 2026 season.

Cannabis is grown here and documented here. It is not part of the Garden Circle and is not for sale or distribution.

2026 Founding Share

Priced as what it is — a boutique, private, micro-CSA from a garden that grows things you cannot find at a farmers market, tended by one person who knows every plant by name.

$500 Per Member · Founding Season 2026

10-week harvest season  ·  ~$50/week  ·  6–8 founding members total

Six founding shares are open for 2026. This number is deliberate — it keeps boxes generous, keeps the Circle personal, and keeps the harvest honest. If the season supports it, up to two additional shares may open later.

Garden Reality

A garden is a living thing. Weather, heat, wind, pests, and a hundred small uncertainties shape every season. Joining the Garden Circle means sharing in the season honestly.

What stays constant

The commitment to grow something real, tend it well, and share what it gives honestly. In a good season the harvest will be generous. In a leaner one, shares will be smaller. Nature doesn't move in a straight line and neither does a real garden.

This is not a subscription with a guarantee. It is an invitation into a season — its abundance when things go well, and its reality when they don't. That honesty is part of what makes it worth joining.

Founders Row · 2027

Every founding member will be invited to choose one tomato variety for the following season. In 2027, one plant of each chosen variety will be grown together in a dedicated section called Founders Row — a small living record of the people who helped the garden begin.

Those varieties and the stories behind them will be documented in the garden archive, carrying the founding circle forward into future seasons.
